Bluetooth Barcode Scanners
Cordless 1D and 2D scanners that pair to iOS, Android and Windows in seconds.
Bluetooth barcode scanners give your team accurate, high-speed data capture without tethering them to a fixed till or laptop. We supply pocketable scanners from Generalscan, Honeywell and Zebra that pair as a standard HID keyboard or via SDK, work with every major mobile POS and warehouse management system, and read damaged, low-contrast and on-screen barcodes that phone cameras struggle with. Choose from compact companion scanners for retail floors, full-size pistol-grip units for warehouse picking, or ruggedised IP65 models for outdoor and industrial use.
Key features
- Pairs with any mobile device. HID, SPP and BLE profiles work out of the box with iOS, Android, Windows and ChromeOS — no driver install required.
- 1D, 2D and QR support. Read every common symbology including Code 128, EAN, UPC, QR, Data Matrix and PDF417 — including on-screen and damaged labels.
- All-shift battery. Typical 12,000+ scans per charge, with hot-swap battery options on industrial models for 24/7 operations.
- Memory mode for offline use. Onboard memory stores up to 100,000 scans when out of Bluetooth range — uploads automatically when reconnected.
- Drop and IP rated. Consumer models survive 1.5 m drops; industrial models are IP65/IP67 rated against dust and water.
- MDM-friendly. Compatible with Jamf, Intune, SOTI and VMware Workspace ONE for fleet provisioning and lockdown.
Choosing the right Bluetooth scanner
For light retail use, a pocketable companion scanner is usually the right call — they're cheap to replace, fast to pair, and live happily on a lanyard. For high-volume picking or constant trigger pulls, step up to a pistol-grip model with a hot-swap battery and a charging cradle.
If your environment is wet, dusty or cold (warehouses, kitchens, outdoor events), specify IP65 or higher and check the operating temperature range. For loyalty and mobile-coupon-heavy retail, a 2D imager is mandatory — laser-only scanners can't read phone screens.
Frequently asked questions
Will these work with my iPad or iPhone POS app?
Yes. In HID mode the scanner appears as a Bluetooth keyboard, so any input field in any POS or back-office app accepts the scan.
Can one scanner pair with multiple devices?
Most models remember the last paired device and reconnect on power-up. Some support fast device-switching via a setup barcode.
Do they read barcodes off phone screens?
Yes — all 2D imagers in our range read screen-based barcodes reliably, which is essential for loyalty apps and mobile coupons.
What's the Bluetooth range?
Class 2 models reach about 10 m; long-range Class 1 models can hit 100 m line of sight.
Do I need a charging cradle?
Companion scanners charge by USB-C; pistol-grip models ship with a single-bay cradle, with multi-bay cradles available for larger fleets.
Can you supply scanners pre-configured?
Yes — we'll pre-pair, set prefixes/suffixes, lock symbologies and apply your MDM profile before despatch.
