Construction
Tool tracking, plant asset management, site delivery scanning and PPE compliance.
UK construction is a high-loss, multi-site environment — tools walk, plant gets damaged, deliveries land at the wrong gate and PPE compliance is an audit headache. We supply rugged scanners, UHF RFID readers, mobile printers and tablet-based site POS hardware for tool crib management, plant asset tracking, materials goods-in and site safety check-in. Hardware survives mud, rain, cold and the unavoidable scaffold drop.
Key features
- Tool tracking and check-out. RFID and barcode tool tagging with handheld readers for site tool cribs and central tool stores.
- Plant asset management. Rugged scanners and RFID tags for plant inspection records, service intervals and on-site location tracking.
- Site delivery scanning. Bluetooth scanners for goods-in verification at the site gate — match deliveries to POs without paperwork.
- PPE and operative check-in. RFID and barcode-based site induction and PPE compliance check-in at site entry.
- Mud, drop and IP rated. IP67 and 2 m+ drop spec scanners survive the realities of UK construction sites.
- Multi-site rollouts. Hardware ships kitted per site with asset registers, ready for plug-and-play deployment by non-IT site managers.
Frequently asked questions
How rugged do construction scanners need to be?
Construction sites are harder than warehouses. We spec IP67, 2 m+ drop to concrete, glove-friendly capacitive touch and a sealed keypad as standard.
Will RFID survive on tools?
Yes — UHF RFID tags rated for metal-mount and impact-resistant attachment survive years of tool-crib use. We supply industrial tag mounts and ruggedised UHF tags.
Can we integrate with our plant management software?
Yes. Scanners are system-agnostic and integrate via HID or SDK with the major UK plant management platforms (Re-flow, Inspect & Cloud, Trimble) and bespoke contractor systems.
What about site induction and PPE check-in?
RFID badge or barcode check-in at site gate with pass-through to your induction and SSIP record. Hardware integrates with most UK site access systems.
How do we manage hardware across 20 sites?
We ship pre-configured per site with asset tagging and your site WiFi or 4G config. Replacement units ship next-day under one trade RMA against the site asset register.
Lead time on a multi-site contractor rollout?
Standard kit ships next-day from UK stock. Asset-tagged, per-site pre-configured rollouts typically deploy in 3-5 weeks.
