Does the sled work with Shopify POS?

Yes — most sleds present their scanner as a standard HID input, so any iPad POS app accepts scans without integration work.

Can I take card payments on it?

Payment-enabled variants include an integrated EMV chip and contactless reader. For scanner-only sleds, pair with a separate Bluetooth card reader.

How rugged is it?

Standard sleds survive everyday retail drops. Industrial variants are IP65-rated for warehouse and outdoor use.

Will it work inside our existing MDM (Jamf, Intune)?

Yes — sleds work entirely through standard iPad/iPadOS APIs, so Jamf, Intune, Mosyle and Apple Business Manager workflows are unchanged. Optional sled SDKs are available for deeper barcode-event integration if your POS app supports them.
