Industrial Handheld Scanners
Pistol-grip scanners built for warehouses, depots and outdoor environments.
Industrial handheld scanners are designed for shifts measured in tens of thousands of scans. We supply pistol-grip 1D, 2D and long-range models from Honeywell, Zebra and BlueBird with IP65 sealing, multi-metre drop ratings and battery packs sized for full-shift operation. Corded, cordless and full mobile-computer variants are available — corded for fixed packing stations, Bluetooth for goods-in, and Wi-Fi/4G enabled mobile computers for full WMS workflows in the aisle.
Key features
- Rugged by design. IP65 sealing against dust and water jets, 1.8-2.4 m drop spec, and tumble-tested against thousands of cycles.
- Long-range optics. Standard-range, mid-range and long-range models — some read barcodes at 15 m+ for top-shelf and yard scanning.
- Multi-shift battery. Swappable battery packs sized for two full shifts, with multi-bay charging docks for fleets.
- Pistol grip with comfort scan. Engineered for thousands of pulls per shift without operator fatigue.
- Optional Wi-Fi mobile computers. Step up to a full Android mobile computer with integrated scanner, screen and WMS client.
- Cold-chain ready. Models rated to -30 C for freezer and outdoor cold-store use, with internal heaters for screens.
Frequently asked questions
Corded or cordless?
Corded for fixed packing stations where the operator doesn't move; cordless Bluetooth for goods-in, returns and any role that involves moving around stock.
How far does the long-range model read?
Long-range 2D imagers reliably read pallet labels at 8-15 m, depending on label size and lighting.
Can it survive a forklift running over it?
No scanner is forklift-proof. But these are tested to survive a 2.4 m drop onto concrete and tens of thousands of tumbles.
Is there an Android variant?
Yes — the same scan engines are available built into Android mobile computers with full WMS integration.
Can you pre-configure scanners before despatch?
Yes — we'll pre-pair to your test device, lock symbologies, set scan prefixes/suffixes, load your MDM profile and asset-tag per site before shipping. Pickers receive a working scanner, not a setup job.
What lead times should we plan for?
UK stock items ship next day. Larger fleet rollouts (50+ units) are typically staged across 4-8 weeks with pre-configuration and asset tagging included; we'll commit to a written delivery schedule against your go-live dates.
