Public Sector Mobile POS
Council receptions, libraries, leisure centres, parking enforcement and museums — POS hardware for the way public-sector teams actually work.
Public-sector procurement isn't retail. Long approval cycles, framework agreements, asset-tagged dispatch, multi-site rollouts, and a clear audit trail are mandatory — not nice-to-have. We supply chip-and-PIN terminals, smart-card readers, mobile receipt printers and handheld barcode scanners to UK councils, NHS Trust facilities teams, library services, leisure centres and museums. PO-friendly billing, framework-aware account management and pre-configured devices for plug-and-play deployment at each site.
Key features
- Framework-friendly supply. PO billing, supplier code maintenance and quotation formats compatible with G-Cloud, Crown Commercial Service frameworks and council direct-award processes.
- PCI-compliant chip & PIN at reception. Counter-top and Bluetooth payment terminals for leisure-centre admissions, library fees, council reception payments and museum gift-shop POS.
- Smart-card readers for ID + access. NFC and contact smart-card readers for staff ID, building access and member/concession card validation in libraries and leisure facilities.
- Mobile receipt printers. Belt-worn or counter Bluetooth printers for parking enforcement, mobile library services and outdoor leisure-pass desks.
- Multi-site asset-tagged dispatch. Devices ship pre-tagged with your asset register numbers and pre-configured to your site SSIDs or 4G SIMs, so deployment per site is plug-and-play for non-technical site managers.
- Lifetime UK support. UK-based phone and email support for the lifetime of every device. No call queues, no out-of-warranty refusal — just answers.
Frequently asked questions
Are you on the major UK public-sector frameworks?
Take 2 Technology supplies through several council direct-award arrangements and is registered on G-Cloud for IT hardware lots. If your authority procures via a specific framework not listed, we can usually accommodate via a re-seller arrangement — talk to us before tender close.
Can you supply asset-tagged + pre-configured devices?
Yes. Devices ship with your asset register IDs printed and attached, pre-configured for your site Wi-Fi or paired with a SIM. We've done this for councils with 20+ leisure sites and library services with 80+ branches.
What about PCI compliance for council reception payments?
All chip-and-PIN terminals we supply are on the current PCI PTS-listed product list. We can recommend acquirer-approved configurations for the major UK acquirers (Worldpay, Barclays, Lloyds, etc.). You're still responsible for completing your PCI SAQ — we don't act as your QSA.
Do you support framework purchase terms?
Yes — net-30 / net-60 terms, PO billing, multi-site delivery split, framework markup compliance. Standard trade account terms cover most public-sector procurement scenarios.
What is the typical lead time on a multi-site rollout?
Standard kit (under 100 devices) ships within 5 working days. Asset-tagging and per-site pre-configuration adds 3-7 working days. Full multi-site planned rollouts of 200+ devices typically take 4-6 weeks end to end.
Can we hire devices for short-term needs (e.g. event ticketing)?
Yes — short-term hire is available for events, summer activities, election polling support and similar short-duration deployments. Kit ships ready-to-use and we collect at end of hire.
